Terrance Wolf, LMFT, works with individuals and couples who are seeking avenues for personal growth.  His counseling practice is grounded in a mindfulness-based approach.  The work he does with his clients may last only a few sessions, or for a longer term, depending on each instance.  In addition to client consultations, Mr. Wolf also leads Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation classes, as well as weekly mediation groups, in Sequim, Washington.

Mindfulness-based counseling offers a way of seeing ourselves clearly– without judgment– the good, the bad, the ugly.  It involves training our attention to sense our present experience in a curious and accepting way.  From this vantage point we can begin to ask, “What is my relationship to these feelings (pain, anger, sadness,) and to what am I unwilling to give attention?”  Being more mindful can change old patterns and offer new life choices, and help us skillfully navigate life phase transitions.   Mr. Wolf also integrates a ‘value-based’ perspective to his practice, that is to say helping his clients explore their personal values, and the congruency between those values and the life they are living.

Mr. Wolf was trained at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.  He has worked with adolescents, people with disabilities and terminal illness or chronic pain, and those on a journey of self-discovery.  He has practiced Vipassana meditation for almost three decades, and is a community dharma leader.
